About the Business
While most young British artists gravitate to creative hotspots such as London, Glasgow and Manchester to further their careers, Robbie Baird from Tighnabruaich is taking a different path. The 25-year-old has set up as an art gallery proprietor in rural Argyll, thanks to Tighnabruaich Gallery owners Penny and Andrew Graham-Weall. Robbie formerly worked at Portavadie Marina as the sales and events co-ordinator but sees his future in the art world, both as a painter with his own following and as someone who recognises, promotes and sells the work of other established and emerging talents in the UK. As well as featuring work by my favourite artists on an on-going basis, we host an eclectic series of exhibitions throughout the year. Be sure to keep up to date.
