A retrospective exhibition celebrating 50 years since the Bristol-based sculptors first London solo show. Accompanying works by St Ives Modern Artists and Charlotte Keates. The Porthminster Gallery, St Ives, Cornwall is owned and directed by Dee Bray and David Durham. The Porthminster Gallery is located at Westcott's Quay, St Ives, Cornwall in a converted grade-1 listed former pilchard warehouse. This characterful ground-floor gallery is situated on the quayside.
The gallery was initially opened as the southern division of Minster Fine Art, York, founded in 2000 by gallery directors David Durham and Dee Bray. The gallery hosts changing exhibitions curated by David Durham who selects strong works by leading St Ives and British artists. The gallery also holds a changing stock of modern 20th century works by post-war St Ives artists, including: Sandra Blow RA; Terry Frost; Patrick Heron; and Bryan Pearce.
