About the Business
Since opening its doors in 1998, Gallerina, in Duke Street, Darlington, has tripled in size and is now spread across three Victorian townhouses with a total exhibition space of 2,500 sq. The gallery has a very warm and inviting atmosphere and houses an ever-changing exhibition of paintings, print makers, sculptures, glass and ceramics by local, national and international artists. Gallerina now houses probably the largest and most independent collection of contemporary fine art in the North of England, sparing no effort in bringing the finest artwork from the freshest talents from home and abroad with artists often choosing to exhibit exclusively with the gallery outside the London area.
It is this unrivalled enthusiasm, and commitment that sees the gallery now enjoying a collector base from around the world. The initial and continuing aim of Gallerina is to make art affordable and accessible to all, and demystify the world of 'Contemporary Fine Art'.
