About the Business
Corner Gallery is a new studio gallery in the vibrant Bishopthorpe Road area. Run by Andres Jaroslavsky, the gallery operates as a display space and as an open studio. Andres Jaroslavsky is a self-taught painter specializing in portraiture who has had several solo exhibitions. In August 2014, Andres completed his Masters in Creative Practice at Leeds College of Art. Among his many local commissions are paintings for York restaurants The Olive Tree, Il Paradiso del Cibo and El Gaucho.
In 2009, he was commissioned to paint the portrait of the head boy and head girl of Pocklington School. In 2004 Andres won the cover competition for "The Reader Magazine", University of Liverpool, and in September 2014 he won the cover competition for the Yorkshire Art Journal.
